The third time was the charm for our No. 3 seed Lady Rattlers, who beat the No. 2 seed County Line Lady Indians 45-40 today in the third-place game of the Class 1A Region I Basketball Tournament at Diamondback Arena. The Lady Rattlers will play the loser of tonight's Class 1A Region 4 championship game between Lafayette County and Taylor in the first round of the state tournament at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Trumann. The Lady Indians will play the winner of the Lafayette County-Taylor game on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the state tournament. Class 1A Region 1 Basketball Tournament fans, the field is set for championship Saturday. In the third-place games, No. 2 County Line will play No. 3 Magazine in senior girls at noon, and No. 2 Mulberry will play No. 2 Lead Hill at 1:30 p.m. in senior boys. In the championship game, No. 1 Jasper will play No. 1 Scranton at 6 p.m. in senior girls, and No. 1 County Line will play No. 1 Jasper in senior boys at 7:30 p.m.
Rattler Family, our No. 3 seed Lady Rattlers battled hard but fell short in the semifinals, losing 51-35 to the No. 1 seed Scranton Lady Rockets. The Lady Rattlers will play the No. 2 seed County Line Lady Indians at noon tomorrow (Saturday, March 1) in the third-place game.

Rattler Family, our Lady Rattlers' big win last night against the Omaha Lady Eagles not only earned them a spot in the Final Four of the Class 1A Region I Basketball Tournament, but it also punched their ticket to next week's Class 1A State Tournament.
