Rattler Family, the Magazine High School Junior Class will host a "Drop and Shop" for parents from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 6), at the MHS cafeteria. Parents will be able to drop off their children (ages 5-12) and have members of the Junior Class babysit them while they tend to their Christmas shopping tasks. Cost is $5 per hour per child (not to exceed $50 per family). Children will be treated to lots of fun and games. Snacks will be provided, but lunch will not be served. Rattler Family, as we draw closer to the holiday season, it's time to begin thinking about our area children of families in need during this Christmas season. Magazine Schools Athletics Department has a fun, exciting opportunity for you to help make Christmas brighter for those area children. Its fourth annual Coach Robert Dean Memorial Toy Toss Game will be on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Diamondback Arena when Magazine hosts Saint Paul. It will be a four-game night with the junior high girls tipping off at 4 p.m., followed by the junior high boys game, senior high girls game and senior high boys game. Everyone is encouraged to bring a soft toy to the game, or you may purchase one a toy at the door. When the Lady Rattlers score their first point(s) against the Lady Saints in the senior high girls game, you will toss your toy onto the court in celebration. All toys and cash donations collected will go toward our area Toys for Tots campaign to provide Christmas gifts for our area children of families in need.
