On Monday evening, we recognized and celebrated the achievements of our Rattler Scholars during our Scholars Banquet. We want to congratulate all of our first-, second-, third- and fourth-year Rattler Scholars for their academic achievements and give a special thank you to MHS alumna and 2013 MHS co-salutatorian/honor graduate Arielle (Loyd) Holloway for being our guest speaker. Holloway is an American Academy of Nurse Practitioners board certified nurse practitioner in Rheumatology with the Noydeen Medical Group in Conway, Ark., and an assistant professor of nursing at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville and is pursuing a Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Arkansas State. Rattler Family, our MES students have had a fun day so far participating in our annual Field Day activities. Congratulations go to the sixth grade students, who beat Coach Hart's 5th grade home room in the championship game of the kickball tournament. Coach Hart's home room beat Ms. Lowder's 5th grade home room in the first round and the fourth grade champon in the semifinals to reach the title game. Rattler Kindergarten Parents, we are looking forward to our kindergarten graduation ceremony at 9 a.m. on Thursday (May 21) at Diamondback Arena. As our kindergarten teachers prepare for this important and memorable moment in your student's young life, we would like to remind you of the procedures for our graduation ceremony. We ask that you have your student at Diamondback Arena by no later than 8:30 a.m. Please do not drop your child off or send them on the bus to the elementary school. The arena doors will be open at 8:15 a.m. for students to enter and begin dressing in their caps and gowns. Students will need to be in the arena with enough time to dress in their caps and gowns as our graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 9 a.m. If you have any questions, please contact your student's teacher (Mrs. Travis or Mrs. Terry).
