Rattler Family, the annual Black and White basketball scrimmages will be on Monday (Oct. 30) beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Diamondback Arena. Join us for the unveiling of the new court design and scrimmages featuring the seventh-grade boys, seventh-grade girls, junior-high boys, junior-high girls and senior-high girls. Rattler Family, at Magazine Schools, our students have so many opportunities to take classes in subject areas they are interested in and that will help them in their post-high school plans, whether it be college, trade school, the military or the workforce. Rattler Family, our elementary and high school students had the opportunity to be a part of an inspiring social and educational program today as the legendary Coach Verdu with Way Beyond Measure presented his anti-bullying and character development program -- T.H.I.N.K -- as part of our continued Red Ribbon Week celebration. Coach Verdu's message encourages students to ask themselves five questions: T - Is it TRUE? H - Is it HELPFUL? I - Is it INSPIRING? N - Is it NECESSARY? and K -- Is it KIND? Parents will have the opportunity to listen to Coach Verdu tonight (Wednesday, Oct. 25) during the Red Ribbon Rally in the safe room on the Magazine Elementary campus. Rattler Family, our Magazine FBLA chapter attended the 2023 District 1 Fall Conference at Greenwood High School today (Wednesday, Oct. 25). Tempiest Dickens, District 1 Treasurer, took part in the conference, and our local chapter officers were recognized on stage. The keynote speaker was Dave Pittman, an Arkansas resident who was a contestant on season 9 of American Idol. He spoke about having Tourette’s Syndrome and still being able to succeed in the music industry.
