Rattler Family, as the start of the new school draws near, it's important to begin thinking about your child's needs each school day. One of those needs is a well-balanced, nutritional breakfast and lunch. We encourage everyone to review the guidelines for free and reduced-priced meals, and if you qualify, complete and return your application as soon as possible. Information and applications will be sent home with students during the first week of school, but information and applications are also available now on our school website at this link: https://www.magazinek12.com/page/cafeforms. It's important for all who qualify to complete and return an application. Help us spread the word by liking and sharing this post. #RattlerPride #RattlerFamily

Ratter Family, it's Tuesday. That means one thing ... "Time Machine" Tuesday! You better believe it. Today, we've just watched the blockbuster movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and are coming back from the arcade, where we played that new video game "Donkey Kong"! Yep, that's right. It's 1981 when this lady began one of the greatest success stories ever at Magazine Schools. It was this year that she began working on the custodial staff at Magazine before working her way to an aide position, a college degree and third-grade teaching position and eventually a position as Pre-K through 12th-grade art teacher before retiring after 34 years. Who is she? #RattlerPride #RattlerFamily #TimeMachineTuesday

Rattler Family, What day is it? You better believe it! It's "Throwback" Thursday and today, we pop in our Fleetwood Mac 8-track and drive down to the Humdinger for a burger as we go all the way back to that great year of 1975. He was Mr. MHS and Mr. Diamondback, he was voted "Best Citizen", "Most Talented" and "Most Dependable", he played Professor Snow in the senior play "Room 13", he was on the yearbook staff, he was Student Council President and FFA Junior Advisor and he was in the Chorus. Some have referred to him as the "John Denver" of his class, and he also was described as a "computer in disguise". Today, he plays a vital role in mentoring children in our community and helping provide them with after-school and summer learning opportunities. Who is he? #RattlerPride #RattlerFamily #ThrowbackThursday
