MES Heart of a Rattler Recognition! Thank you for giving your all for our students!
Hello Rattler Family!
In order to assist in keeping everyone safe and healthy, we are going to extend our virtual week. We will be virtual next week, Monday-Friday, October 26-30. Faculty and staff will be available for additional support. Please contact your child's principal office if you have any questions.
Recently, Mrs. Young's 1st grade class read a story about a farmer's market. The students then worked on creating their own market where they were able to shop and make decisions on what they wanted to buy.
They enjoyed learning about markets, money, and decision making during these activities!
This year has been an adjustment for us all, but elementary art students are loving working in their own "office space" and earning art bucks to rent art supplies at MES Art Studios. Ask your student about their new job at MES Studios and which commission they are working on.

Hello students, we are excited to announce that anyone that wants to raise their last nine weeks grades can do so by turning in missing work by August 28th. Students interested in this opportunity should contact the teacher for those assignments. We are ready and excited to have you all back in school! Have a great day!
Due to the Governors order to push back the start date of school (Aug. 24th) Rattler Virtual Academy decision date is being extended until August 14.
We have just received word from the Deputy Commissioner, Ivy Pfeffer, that all schools will have a uniform start date. We along with all other schools in Arkansas will be starting August 24th. This will allow DESE and the Department of Health to have a more wholistic approach. Please understand this continues to be a very fluid situation and may change. In the next couple of weeks we will be working to build a new school calendar. This new calendar will be released as soon as possible. Thank you for understanding.
We are saddened to say that with the rise in COVID-19 cases as well as considering recommendations from the Arkansas Department of Health, the Department of Education, and discussions with students we are unfortunately going to have to cancel prom this year. This is not something that we have taken lightly and definitely not something that we want to do but in order to make sure that students limit possible exposure and are able to attend school, college, or work we feel it is necessary at this time. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
I would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who supported the senior class and donated a yearbook. Thanks to your generous donations, EVERY SENIOR received a yearbook this year!
MES is having a drive through drop off party for pre-k and 1st - 5th grade students. We are so excited to see everyone on June 4th or 5th!
