On Tuesday (Nov. 8), the students had a taste-testing where they had to create a list of adjectives to describe each type of pie. Opinions have to be based on facts and experience, so they conducted research in order to have a valid opinion. Rattler Family, the fourth-grade field trip on Tuesday (Nov. 😎 was filled with fun, geography and geology about Mount Magazine, the history of Mount Magazine and the legends of Mount Magazine. Rattler Family, Reading and reading comprehension are a high priority at Magazine Schools. At Magazine Elementary, we have the "Millionaires Club" where students can become a member by reading 1 million words during the school year. Breaking News: Magazine sophomore Elizabeth Merritt wins the individual Class 2A state championship in cross country. Merritt, who also won the 2A-4 Conference title and Southwest Region title, covered the 5K course in a time of 21:05.4, edging Acorn's Bella Tedder by more than 20 seconds (21:25.96). Magazine freshman Phoebe Hopper posted a Top 10 finish, covering the course in a time of 22:15.64 to finish ninth.
