Rattler Family, as we announced earlier, Magazine Schools is participating in Operation Paperback to help provide new and gently used paperback books to our military members overseas and stateside in military hospitals. On average, a box of 20 paperback books will cost about $7 to ship with the special shipping rate for this project. Rattler Family, our school-based health center (Wellness Center) has received a grant from the ADH Office of Oral Health to aid with school-based dental sealants. Dental sealants are thin coatings that, when painted on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth, can prevent dental decay for many years. School dental sealant programs are an effective way to reach children between the ages of six and 14 to prevent cavities. Dr. Bishop and his hygienist will be screening and placing dental sealants. Your student will soon be receiving information and a permission slip to bring home. Please sign and return the permission slip if you would like your student to be seen at the clinic.
